GROUP TESTIMONIALS

“This was a 5-star Luxury trip on every level imaginable! We stayed at the highest rated hotels in Northern India and dined on exquisite meals at the best restaurants in every city we traveled. My favorite hotel was the Lake Palace in Udaipur. We reached the oasis in a very small boat gliding to the palace. Our room had a view of the lovely lotus gardens within the walls of the palace. This highly customized tour consisted of just a handful of people, and we traveled in a sporty SUV that transported us to every city and event with ease. This was truly a once in a lifetime tour. Brij outdid himself on every detail of the trip. Thank you again for an amazing and wonderful trip; I can’t believe we visited so many places!”

Now having returned to Fresno for almost three weeks, I still have a difficult time realizing that I have traveled to India and back. Thanks to you, our guide, it was an extraordinary experience. Every part of the trip was really fabulous! From the astronomical monuments, to the forts and palaces and our last day, the Haveli, India was similar to a dream. You did a superb job arranging the hotels and meals and I am grateful to you for all of your hard work as well as your compassionate leadership. I particularly appreciated all of your assistance with stairs and irregular foot paths. You were always there when I need some additional help (and even when I didn’t). I really cannot wait to return and hope that it will be with you and Joan, once again! Thank you so much for a colossal experience in India.

“This was an exceptional tour through the plains of Bihar from Patna all the way up into the rural village of Madhubani to visit the Mithila School of Art. It was a fully immersive art tour especially tailored for advanced art students and art lovers alike. At the time of the visit, we were the 1st large group of Western visitors to the area! We had the privilege of speaking with well-known Mithila artists such as Dulari Devi and Santosh Kumar Das.
Both instructors and students of the Mithila Art Institute were welcoming and generous in sharing about their art. Along the way to Madhubani, we visited famous Buddhist pilgrimage sites and stupas at Vaishali. Later we flew to Khajurajho to see the famous temples and sculptures and we stopped at several art museums throughout our trip starting from Craft Museum in New Delhi and the Khuda Baksh Oriental Public Library in Patna where the Director took out ancient manuscripts and miniature paintings from the library archives. My love and admiration of Indian art truly blossomed on this study tour!”

SKY SWEET, Fresno State-India Madhubani Art Workshop Study Tour, 2011

The experience I had traveling and studying in India was eye opening and life changing. The opportunity to experience what I experienced was a true gift, and I will appreciate it for my entire life. I learned so much about the history and the culture of India, and how it’s transferred to everything they do, including their art. The art of Madhubani was so inspiring and life changing and also very unique as the artists put their best effort into their art. One afternoon we were able to try our hand at the art. We were each given about two lessons by the students on how to create some borders with designs in them using Mithila art design elements. I was taught how to create a geometric pattern, a fish pattern, and a flower pattern. We used a quill pen and black ink, which I have used in the past in illustration class, so the tools were familiar to me. It was hard for me to draw free hand without penciling the design out before hand, but I did the best I could and it turned out well. Everything is done free hand, there is no sketching beforehand, which is the opposite from what I have learned in my own art classes. Even though we wanted to stay longer, we had to leave as the sun went down because there were no lights in the room. The most important thing that I learned from this workshop was to slow down and be more focused on what I was doing, rather than to rush and get the work done so that I could go on to the next element. I wanted to express once again that I really enjoyed going on the India trip and I will always remember it.

Since we were visiting the weavers of Varanasi in the state of Uttar Pradesh, I chose to use this as my starting point as there are many textile traditions in India that fascinate me. Our itinerary had us spending a little time in a Varanasi weaving factory, so it seemed prudent and efficient to keep my interest focused here. Once arriving in India, however, it was challenging to keep focus honed on Varanasi weaving as the Taj Mahal, and the incredible amount of craftsmanship and artistry, was nothing short of amazing! There is no recorded imagery that can replace the light that eyes experience with semi-precious stone and marble.

PRIVATE TOUR TESTIMONIALS

It was the first time for me traveling to India and it was awesome! I enjoyed a great historical and cultural journey through Rajasthan. Iam very happy, that Mr. Sharma suggested a tour that was diverse and interesting. He gave me good advice and made suggestions I didn’t even think of. His insight into local affairs and general expertise protected me from unwelcome surprises. The changes I had to make, due to earlier departure were done without any problems. You arranged a wonderful trip that exceeded my expectations in every way and I will never forget my two week journey through India.

Thank you very much!

This trip has been the best trip of my life and it is all because of the excellent service we have received from start to finish. Brijesh was my first point of contact and he worked tirelessly to create an itinerary based off of my desires to go white water rafting on the Ganges in Rishikesh and a hot air balloon ride. Not only did he spend a lot of time revising the schedule as | made changes but after it was all finalized and paid for, we had a member of our group that had to come later due to work. Brijesh was so gracious and easily made all the necessary changes to our itinerary. He kept me up to date on all the schedule changes, train rides, plane rides and hotel recommendations. Highlights of my trip not only included the rafting and hot air balloon ride in Pushkar but the amazing temples in Khajuraho and an exquisite hotel in Gwalior (Taj Usha Kiran Palace Hotel) where | was wrapped in a beautiful Saree | had bought by a wonderful women at the hotel who had owned a Saree shop and | met the Head Chef who made a delicious meal for us. The hotel in Jaipur (Samode Haveli) was absolutely gorgeous and my personal favorite. | can’t wait to go back. Thank you Brijesh for all of your hard work and patience with me.
